Hi Similar question to this one https://xs4all.gebruikers.eu/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=1139 All working ok right now, but considering a change. Current situation * I have a Fritz!Box 7360 in use over a DSL line to provide Internet - the Fritz!Box provided by my internet service provider XS4ALL. * That is connected directly to my internal router device, running pfSense. * Not using Fritz!Box as wifi hotspot, DECT phones or any other services. Target situation * Have the pfSense box to be internet facing, allowing use of LetsEncrypt, the Acme software Change needed * Make the Fritz!Box act as a Modem only - so simply passing the internet directly to the pfSense router. Reading the info from avm.de this may be possible with the newer FB 7590. Wisdom welcome. Thanks. |

This is not possible with any Fritzbox modem, the only thing you can do with certain models, is PPPoE pass-through, but that is not what you want in this case. The best option would be to get a Draytek Vigor 165, these can be configured to work in bridge mode, where the Vigor 165 does the ADSL/VDSL modem part and the PPPoE session, and bridges the acquired public ip address to the LAN port. |

I' m test this unit https://www.kpnwebshop.com/wba-copper...origin=913 It's the Zyxel vmg4005-b50a bridge with special KPN software. Works fine with any router that can make an PPPoE session. I use a Fritzbox 7583 No monitoring is possible There are only 4 green led's Power, two DSL lines and a WAN port. |

How does the Zyxel modem work? Any improvement in Upload-speed? Is there a cable included for bonded DSL or is the one from the Fritzbox 7581/7583 ok? |

How does the Zyxel modem work? Any improvement in Upload-speed? Yes here 7583 3Mbit upload the Zyxel 5Mbit/sec No, but the 7581 cable works fine |

Hi. I found that I already owned a Draytek Vigor 120 unit - it is the V2 for the Annex A, with firmware to v3.7.2 (issued May 2018) - full info below. Will this probably work?
