Draytek 120 in bridge mode for XS4ALL?
daksol
I want to be able to connect my pfSense box to the internet as directly as possible - not going through an additional router; right now I have a Fritz!Box in place.

I understand the best approach is to acquire an ADSL Modem which can act "in bridge mode".

Draytek Vigor Model 165 was recommended. However I have an existing Draytek Vigor 120 - so would like to try that first.

Draytek Vigor 120 has firmware updated to v3.7.2, from May 2018.

Is this worth a try?
Are options shown on screenshot correct - using PPPOE/PPPOA option page?

The Draytek 120 is an ancient ADSL2+ modem/router, with only 100mb ethernet.
I use a FB7581 in bridge mode, connected to a Draytek 2862.
As I have bonding (profile 17A), I have 200/60 mb dowload/upload speeds. Impossible to reach with the 120.
I have all redundant features as WiFi etc disabled and the FB7581 has hardly any overhead.
My advise would be to forget about the 120.
